A couple weeks ago, me and Santo had the opportunity to get our pictures (or I should have said our post wedding pictures ^^) taken by Dayna Patterson. She’s originally from London, then off to Perth, and now based in Sydney (what a journey!)
The story began when Santo saw this offer from FCP Talent Registry (Santo is quite a forum geek…). The first one to email Dayna about the offer will be entitled with a free session with her. Guess what…yes we are the first one
Never thought that we’ll be doing another photo session again after all those many many many wedding and pre-wedding pictures that we did couple of months back.
Dayna and Doug (her fiance) are such a sweet couple. Doug is a very funny guy, more like a comedian I think We really enjoy the session, very relaxing, the weather oh so nice, beautiful locations (Mrs Macquarie Chair and Botanical Gardens), love it!
Thank you Dayna and Doug for the opportunity. All the best for your journey in Sydney!
There are so many things that I can say about Sarah and Frank. They are such a loving and sweet couple. Frank is a very funny and “crazy” guy, but yet very sweet and romantic. Whereas, Sarah is a sweet and bubbly person. They are just perfect to each other. When Frank proposed to Sarah, he made hundreds of postcard with their memory pictures and wrote different messages in each of them on the proposal. Isn’t that sweet??
We are so blessed to be able to capture their love stories and also one of the most significant day of their life. Their wedding is one of the best wedding we have ever been to. Their wedding theme was “my favourite”. Everything on the wedding was Sarah and Frank’s favourite things - favourite food, favourite songs, favourite guests, favourite flowers, favourite sweets, and also favourite videographers *LOL :).
I am so proud of what Ferry and Santo have done with the coverage and the SDE. Ferry was only shooting by himself from the preparation until the ceremony, as Santo had another wedding to shoot on that day and he can only joined Ferry when the ceremony just about to start. Obviously Ferry has done a great job with the coverage in the morning as those footages play quite a big role in the SDE.
So, without further ado…we present Sarah & Frank pre-wedding film “Friend Like You” and their SDE. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we do
What a nice and awesome news, when we found out that we have been voted by industry professionals all around the world that we are one of top 50 wedding film-makers in the world!
Thank you so much for all your support guys. We can not do this without you
Some of you may remember seeing one of our prewedding film “This Much”.

Yes! its them! and its finally their turn to enjoy one of the best days of their live.
Me and Ferry shot this together last year and it was a joy working with James, Thao and the rest of the bridal party as they were so easy going, fun and funny!
It was a wonderful day.. eventhough the rain poured in little by little, everyone just kept on having fun and enjoyed the day so much.
We had so much fun shooting this couple. Not only we had quiet a bit of time with shooting the preparation (not often) but also we get to shoot A LOT of location shoots.. lol
Can’t wait to share the trailer for their wedding day, meanwhile, please enjoy this little Prewedding Film that we made for them. This is our first “ONE FINE DAY” concept with the theme of.. “Hello Kitty”
For those of you who knows Wendy… it will not be shocking to see just how many hello kitty in this film.. they also chose the songs themselves!!!
Grace is one of our good friends… I’ve known her ever since I first started doing wedding videography. She’s always been the kind hearted girl and encourager to me.
She would always say
“Jack you are awesome!”
“omgosh jack you and ferry are the best”
“You can do it!”
“jack I want to book you and ferry for my wedding next year! I don’t care, you have to do my wedding!”
FYI, some friends call me Jack. So she’s always been supporting me ever since until now. So I’m so glad that we did shoot her wedding last august and did the best we could. Such a great feeling to make someone happy with your work and this is what keeping me in the job. making someone very happy.
Thank you grace for always being such a great friend. I hope you will cherish this film for many many years to come. I always say to my self, my target is to have my clients to watch the film again at least ONCE every year (preferably on their anniversary) hehehe.

Clarissa & Budi Cinematic Wedding Trailer - 21 january 2010
Clarissa and Budi is one sweet and cute couple I would say. I heard that Budi is a very good chef and he cooks breakfast for Clarissa. how nice of him! The wedding day went very well with all the beautiful weather and great guests. The ceremony was pretty rock n rolling because of the moving boat but all is good and everyone enjoyed it.. something different!
What I loved the most about this wedding is probably the table decorations. I think Clarissa designed the butterfly decorations herself and I think they are sooo niceee…. check them out in the trailer and you’ll see what I mean.
Finally, thank you so much Clarissa and Budi for your trust in our work. You guys have been a wonderful client and we hope that you will like the dvd as much as we do

Steven & Pamela Prewedding Film “IMAGINE” Same Day Edit - 18 january 2010
Another “IMAGINE” prewedding that we edited on the same day for pamela and steven’s wedding reception. The film was shown at around 9pm last Saturday and we were very happy with how it went. The color and sound was presented beautifully, so a big thank you to the staging crew that helped us on the day
This couple are one of the cutest couple we’ve had. One of the most memorable things about their wedding was Steven’s speech. It was really out of my expectation and I’m sure it really touched a lot of people in the reception, including me. Good on ya man and I wish you and Pem all the best of luck for your marriage.
Dennis & Sherly Cinematic Prewedding Film (Love Candles) - 11 january 2010
Here’s another great true love story from our beloved couple, Dennis and Sherly. It was great to see it shown last night in front of hundreds of guests. I think this couple is both a blessing and also blessed with beautiful people surrounding them. I can see how much people love them dearly especially their parents and their friends. Watch out for their wedding trailer containing a surprise dance from their crazy fun bridal party! one of the best I’ve seen!!!

James Boag Pure Beer Promo Video 2009 - 8 january 2010
a promo video for James Boag beer new line “Pure”
mainly shot in many locations in Tasmanian forests. The concept was developed by the ad agency. The idea was basically trying to illustrate the mystery of Tasmania by using projected animations onto different parts of the nature. You can also have a look at the video on their website www.boags.com.au
Directed by: Susanto Widjaja
Supervising Art Director: Jeff Mimery
Director of Photography: Ferry Lie
Animator: Cassius Handoyo
Production: Paper Cranes Productions (2009)
Hi All,
Last night I couldn’t sleep so I thought why not try to do a quick nice and short clip with new year’s anthem song Auld Lang Syne. I ended up editing until 5am…
The idea is to appreciate all of our supporters and clients in 2009. However, looking at all of those clips has got me very touched. It made me very grateful of what God has given me and Dewi in our personal life and also in “Paper Cranes” life so far. We have been blessed with beautiful and encouraging people, better yet, we got married in a very very beautiful ceremony. Basically, we are living a life surrounded by happy people and we get to tell their stories. I felt very lucky.
So, thank you to everyone for your support.. especially our facebook fans.. for your comments and “like” and “share” LOL You guys ROCK!!!!!
Keep in touch and all the very best for all of you in 2010 and beyond!

Santo & Dewi Cinematic Prewedding Film (Say Yes) - 28 december 2009
This would be one of our greatest achievements… making our own prewedding film. The story is based on how I proposed to Dewi using a lot of point of view shots of my eyes.
It was a very fun and weird process for us in making this film since we are so used to do it for other people. However, the purpose of this film was to express ourselves and to tell our true love story and I believe that we did quiet well with it. Thanks heaps to all of the peeps that helped us in making this film possible. They are: Ferry, Renny, Delia, Rendy, Deddy, Ricky and of course, all of the people that appear in the “say yes” video
I hope that this particular film would touch a lot of hearts

Rendy & Delia Wedding Surprise SDE in Indonesia and Prewedding Film !!! - 28 december 2009
“I feel very lucky today because I believe that there are not many videographer in the world that also get the chance to wear this flower on their suit”
That was a line from my speech on their reception and the flower that I meant was the best man flower.
Rendy has been my best friend since college and it was my greatest pleasure to film their wedding while also being his best man.
During the technical meeting with all the other vendors, I immediately got the idea of making them a surprise Same Day Edit as their wedding gift.
I then made some arrangements with the wedding organizer (Id & Co) and the Wedding MC (Daddo Parus) to make the idea possible.
During the wedding day it was absolutely hard to keep it secret while stressing out editing the same day edit. I had to ask Ferry to shoot their location shoot by himself and told them that I had a stomachache
Finally, it was time for my speech and I ended it by presenting the same day edit as the surprise gift and boy it was such a great feeling watching them surprised and enjoying the video with teary eyes.
