Believe it or not, opposite does attract like a magnet.
South and North attract each other and when they’re connected, they’ll be locked like a glue.
Billy and Yenni are exactly that.
Billy loves to eat.. a lot.. and Yenni loves to watch him eating. How sweet is that!
Yenni loves to exercise, particularly Yoga.. and Billy loves to sleep.
And the list goes on.

However, the more we got to know them, the more we realise how perfectly compatible they are for each other.
Opposite does attracts and it was such a blessing to be able to tell their inspiring story to all of us.

Thanks Billy and Yenni for your absolute kindness and for sharing your amazing story.
We hope the slideshow and other series of photographs would be one of the many things that you both can cherish and we wish you all the happiness through out your journey of marriage.

Australia Tourism Exchange (ATE) 2013

We had the pleasure of capturing and telling the story of the biggest annual tourism event in Australia which is the Australian Tourism Exchange. This year they have it in the prestigious Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre in Darling Harbour over the course of 5 days. We knew that we wanted to show not only how prestigious the event is but also how fun and interesting it is with all the different kind of products and services that were shown on the event. It was definitely a fun shoot with pretty much all of our cinematographers took their part to film the event. It was a lot bigger scale and it was not only a challenge to do but also a joy to just try to do things a lot differently than how we usually do.

Thanks so much to Tourism Australia for allowing us to capture the event in the way that we know best. They truly trusted us to deliver and did everything they can to accomodate our requests and help making the filming process to be as smooth as possible.

Hope you guys enjoy this piece as much as I do.

Jon + Alvina’s Prewedding Film “Labbit love”

We went to the much enjoyable Melbourne city a few months back to film this cute and sweet couple’s prewedding film. What we love the most from doing prewedding film is how we get to know the couple much deeper before the wedding day arrives. Usually during the filming we would get to know not only the couple but also their friends and families that are involved in their story/journey as a couple. This is exactly what happened with jon and alvina. During the actual wedding day we were much more relaxed and comfortable around them and the people around them which is very helpful to be less intimidating with our cameras.

Jon and Alvina came to know each other through their yogurt cafe business “Cacao Green” They met for the first time during the first business meeting which we illustrate in the film. We can see how they really complete each other. Jon is the more quite type while Alvina is the one with more bubbly personality. She loves all things girly… at least thats what I perceive of her.. lol… she does have great taste of choosing the things they put in their house. We were constantly checking out the little bits and pieces of homewares and furniture that they have in place. The rabbit doll in the film is called the Labbit doll and alvina happen to love it so much and Jon bought it for her as a gift, hence why we named the film, Labbit love.

The filming went very smooth with great weather and just having melbourne as the backdrop of the story just made everything full of character with the trams and the architectures and coffee cultures. And we also had great time playing with DORA.. their super cute and smart dog which is featured quite heavily in the final edit just because we couldn’t help it.

Thanks so much guys for having us (twice) to your city. We are grateful for the experience getting to know you guys and just basically having fun capturing your stories. We hope that this little piece of story will be one of the top playlist in your household especially by your kids

Tran & Anna’s Wedding Cinematic Portraiture | “Miss and I”

It was forecasted to be raining, but turned out to be a warm and nice sunny day.
Yay..

It’s not everyday that we were given the opportunity to capture the wedding of a former Miss Vietnam here in Oz. We feel so blessed.
Yay..

Anna is such a fun loving person whom not only extremely natural in front of a camera, but also has a beautiful heart and madly in love with her other half, Tran.
Tran is such a cool guy who makes everything under control and yet still gets emotional when it comes to family and marriage. It’s ok, Tran.. we got teary too.
Your two little puppies are the most adorable things ever. Still can’t believe you name them “Cash” and “Money”. Awesome names for puppies.

Andrew + Diana’s Same Day Edit Experience “I wanna live it with you”

That last sentence on Andrew’s letter melt my heart. No really.. that is just a great illustration of how we should treat our spouse that they feel so special and so unique and so irreplaceable because they are.

Andrew and Diana got married in a very beautiful and sunny autumn day. The light was just amazingly gorgeous all throughout the day that we couldn’t stop getting all the flare shots that came our way. My favourite part in the SDE is definitely when Andrew had to sing a song in order to entice Diana to come down. It then led Diana reading the letter which made it even more emotional. I love it when we work with a couple that really trust us for who we are and what we can do for them. They are really genuine and caring towards us and that really made us feel so welcomed. its also great to meet our past couples/friends stephanie, minh + maria and their bridal party. Brought a lot of memories for sure.

Thanks so much guys, we love you heaps and we appreciate the kind gesture that you guys have given towards us. Hope that you will cherish this SDE for many years to come and your kids can ask Andrew to sing the song for them

Vikram + Kruti’s Same Day Edit Experience “From North to South…”

We love Hindu weddings. There’s so much culture and colours all throughout, every part of the wedding.. but for Vikram and Kruti, they made it rather different. They combined the north and south cultures, because Kruti and Vikram’s family come from different parts of india. So it was an amazing combination of ceremonies from both cultures.

We filmed their wedding over two days. One being the traditional ceremonies and the other being a more western kind, of reception with even more cultural performances, it was so much fun capturing these moments with fresh eyes.

Firstly, let us just say how grateful we are to have Kruti and Vikram to choose us as their wedding photographers and wedding cinematographers.

We love weddings, but more importantly, we love discovering and capturing the stories of the people and the events surrounding their wedding days.

It’s always very rewarding when we work with couples (and their families) that really appreciate not only our work, but us as people, and know that we’d do the best we can for them through our work.

So thank you so much Vikram and Kruti, and your family for your hospitality and the appreciation and also to bringing us in to see your part of the world, which we love and cherish.

Now, to the wedding, we knew that there would be a lot of things to capture and process. Traditional and cultural things are one, the other is the more western traditions which are gift exchange and parts of their reception dinner.

We decided that we would concentrate more on the traditional part because that is when they actually got married but we knew that they wouldn’t be spending that much time and interact with each other during the whole ceremony, so we added the gift exchange to show a few of their more intimate and personal moments on their story and day. The result we believe is a combination of a lot of things, but we best represented their day and focused on bringing out their personalities.

Finally, to Kruti and Vikram, may your life be blessed abundantly and that your love continue to grow day by day and may these memories we captured become your kids favourite playlist in your household

George & Wincy’s Pre Wedding Cinematic Portraiture | “Pies ‘n’ Peas”

Wincy is such a calm and quiet girl, whereas George is a bubbly boy and full of energy.
As soon as we point a camera in front them, Wincy becomes cheeky and full of expressions, whereas George turns to be introvert and just plays along with whatever Wincy does.
(What’s the matter, George? ) Lol.
Well, from our point of view, you both really are complementing each other.

Gi & Yuly’s Pre Wedding Cinematic Portraiture Slideshow | “That Day Is Today”

It started off with a cool day at Centennial Park, then became super hot at Bronte Beach.
It’s hot because that’s where Gi & Yuly spend most of their time together.
It’s hot because… it’s HOT.. literally..

We were sweating, squinting, hungry, thirsty, but memorable at the same time.
In the end, it was sweet and sun burnt all over our skin. Lol.
It didn’t matter because it was a smooth ride right til the end and we absolutely loved it.

We’re so inspired by your love journey and without a doubt, it’s going to inspire many others.

Loc & Phuong’s Wedding Cinematic Portraiture | “Garden on the Rooftop.”

It is always amazing to capture a wedding where the couple pays attention to every single detail possible, making sure that they are perfect and uniquely telling who they are as a couple.

From the day we had our meeting, we knew that Loc & Phuong is a unique couple with quirky tastes.
Phuong’s grandmother’s necklace which was hung on the side of Phuong’s dress was memorable.
Their initials sewn on the inside of Loc’s jacket was quirky.
Phuong’s arrival by Sydney water taxi was incredible.
The rooftop garden that’s located on top of their New York-style apartment was breath-taking. We didn’t know such garden actually exists in Sydney.
Phuong often chills out in that garden while reading some books just underneath the tree.
So, it makes a lot sense if Loc & Phuong wanted to have their first look right where it has so much memories for the both of them. It was priceless. And last but not least, the amazing dance routine. The 6-months preparation had finally paid off!

Well done, guys!
